       A Veterinary Doctor is a doctor who not only diagnoses and controls animal  diseases, but also prescribes medical or surgical treatment for diseases in animals. Veterinary doctors prevent transmission of disease and provide as on care of pets and farm animals.

Qualifications

·10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50% marks.

· AIPVT ( All India Pre Veterinary Test) is a common entrance exam

conducted by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI ) New Delhi .

·This is followed by B.V.Sc. (Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences) and M.V.SC

·(minimum 17 years of age in order to apply for the entrance exam. The duration of the B.V.Sc course in India is 5 years with compulsory 6 months rotating Internship. Apply for the entrance exam through Online or Offline mode)

1. Veterinary scientists work both in the rural and urban setting. Dairy farms,

Salary

·On an average a vet charges Rs.150/- to Rs.250/- per visit (excluding the cost of medicines). For a home visit it shoots up to Rs.250/- to Rs.350/-

·In a month a veterinarian can earn in the range of Rs.30,000/- to Rs.50,000/-
